Whole Tree Removal
Removing a tree from your property can be done for many reasons. If the tree is damaged, unhealthy, or doesn’t fit into your landscaping plan, we can help. Tree removal is a significant task that should only be done by a licensed arborist.
Our owner is a licensed Maine arborist and has all of the necessary equipment to move or remove trees from your property. We’ll even move obstacles to the tree removal, like vehicles and patio furniture. If the tree is healthy and you’re not ready to commit to tree removal, we can transplant the tree to another part of your property. The cost depends on the size of the tree but typically is around $100 – 1,000.
Whenever a tree falls or is cut down, a stump remains. This stump can rot and become an eyesore on your property. Depending on the size of the stump, it can be removed using an excavator or stump grinder. Including equipment rental, the cost to remove a stump is about $150 – 250 per stump.
Once your tree has been trimmed or removed, we will clean up any remaining branches for an additional charge of about $70 – $200, depending on disposal fees at the time that the task is completed. These can either be burnt on the property or brought to the local dump. For Mount Desert Island residents, the first ton of branches is free to dispose of at all participating transfer stations. Customer or homeowner is responsible for any brush or logs left on the property.
Please note that all work is done by the hour. Our winter and fall rate is $40 an hour, plus a charge for power equipment that ranges from $7-40 per hour. Our spring and summer rate is an additional $10 per hour. Please contact us for an estimate on your specific project.
